2008 Wrath "Ex Anima" Chardonnay

The 2008 Wrath "Ex Anima" Chardonnay has fairly intense aromas and flavors of lemon, apricot and fig. It is a well-balanced, full-body Chardonnay that was aged in neutral oak giving it good structure yet preserving the fresh fruit flavors. It has medium alcohol, medium+ acidity and has a lingering finish of pineapple, laced with a bit of minerality.
I was served this in a restaurant with lower lighting so no comment as to the color. It was very food friendly in that it did not overpower boiled shrimp remoulade but cut easily through a crab cake with sweet corn and leek cream sauce. Absolutely delicious!
